Among all the thousands of photos taken, there's always a few standing out.

Drummer

As a passionate drummer himself, Olav loves to take ("Sick", as he'd call it himself) photos of drummers. This photography was shot a couple years back, but the date is unknown, as he found the photo somewhere in the midst of a recently lost file folder.

If you click on the photo, it will open up to reveal it's full resolution and artistry framing, using the drums and the stands surrounding it to create a natural frame as well as giving some depth to it.

Rapper

Although most of the photos from Lecrae's show on SGMM festival could be handpicked to this gallery, this one surely stands out.

- It's not often you get to do great framework, while maintaining a shot of the artists expressions, says the photographer

- Memories like this are also hard to capture with a mobile phone, and could've only be made by using the photographers skills, and his telephoto lens, making it possible to make the background less distractive.

Capturing good photos like these can be really hard, but when you get the genuine feelings from the performing artist, it doesn't only make the work easier, but it also gives fans access to memories, taking the artist towards new heights by growing their fanbases.

Fake feelings make the image weak, genuine feelings makes the image strong.

Dream

Ever woken up from a bad fever dream, waking up in your festival tent, opening the zipper to view and the fresh smell of fresh air and leaves?

Maybe this image gives you the same feeling?

The photo was shot through a random plastic bottle found by the photographer on the ground (which he ofc threw in the garbage bin afterwards) during a summer festival.

- Being creative has always been a part of my life, says the photographer, adding:

- What someone might see as a unuseful photography, may for others be felt as a good (or a bad) feeling, waking up memories from when they once slept on the grass, waking up with blurred vision after a long nap in the sun.

And yes, photos like these can be used actively by festivals to remind participants to care for the nature.

Other (useful) uses would be for graphic designers as a neutral background, maybe for the festivals next theme?

Golden spiral

- Usually, composing using the golden spiral composition is hard, but luckily enough, I was able to capture some "Arrivalists" on a festival a couple years ago. While I didn't completely realize what I had created at the moment I got the shot, I was able to use the golden spiral (golden ratio) to make a leading line starting by fastening your eyes on the car first, then to the girl on the phone, then moving to the girls in the sweaters in the back. Even though I really can't explain how this works, I think however it is a really cool phenomenon how one single compositional rule can force your eyes in one direction. You won't even be able to think about it before it's done!
